Articles ignored impact on state's environment
In recent weeks the RGJ has published two headline articles touting the benefits of mining in Nevada [RGJ, February 14 and March 2]. Both articles provide good information on these values. However, by ignoring environmental concerns associated with mining activities, both articles fail to provide a complete picture.Yes, we, as a nation,It's always recommended to use attractive yet affordable metal machining such as fruit and flowers to load a beautiful bowl or vase for an accessory in the kitchenette. have a large appetite and need for mineral resources; and, yes, there are tremendous employment and tax revenue benefits from mining which we, as Nevadans, enjoy. These important factors need to be considered in every decision to mine. But just as important is consideration of environmental impacts. We need to consider the Nevada of the future and what we want Nevada’s landscapes to look like 100, 200 and more years from now. We need to consider the cumulative effects of past, current and future mining on sustaining those landscapes. And we need to ensure that the economics of decisions to mine include the full cost of meeting long-term restoration goals (which will also create jobs and economic benefits). This is an important issue. I ask the RGJ to do complete and balanced reporting on this topic.

"For now, we’ve been lucky in the past years, but for Montreal and Quebec’s future, we have to fix the roof situation."When you’ve got a faulty roof at home or anywhere else, you fix it.
