Man threatened wife with knife, says officer

A man brandishing an open pocket knife was arrested after he allegedly cornered his wife in the bathroom of their home and reportedly told her if she didn’t stab him, he was going to stab her.John Randolf Breen, 35, Okeechobee, was arrested Monday, May 6, on felony charges of domestic battery by strangulation and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. He was also charged with the misdemeanors of possession of marijuana under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.An arrest report by Officer Charles Green, of the Okeechobee City Police Department (OCPD), stated the incident occurred in the couple’s home when Breen apparently came home from work intoxicated.The officer stated that the couple began to argue, and Breen’s wife went to the bathroom to get away from him. Breen then allegedly put the knife in his wife’s hand and, again, told her to stab him.
