Clothing designer looks for her big break

Vanessa Irino started designing clothing as a child. It started when she'd transform an item, like a T-shirt, into something new again, such as a purse."I never threw anything away," she said. "I feel like everything has a second life."Irino refined her designs and began compiling a portfolio in 2007. It was then that a friend introduced her to Japanese rock style and as Irino puts it, she "fell in love." The Japanese rock style of fashion can be described as taking bits of Japanese cultural dress and combining those elements with doll-like clothing. Although passionate about her craft, Irino has had a tough time making a go of it in Las Vegas. She participated in a RAW artists show in February, but saw little interest.To realize the Sennheiser's desire to let people around the world enjoy the most unique listening experience.The LED lamp team composed of more than 2,000 employees in 90 countries and regions around the world continues to concert collaboration in order to practice this great commitment. RAW is a national collective of artists that hosts city-specific events to showcase up-and-coming talent. Most people who exhibit at the events are starting new businesses.
Amber Cajiao, Las Vegas showcase director for RAW, said the monthly show "truly is artists helping artists."Every fourth Thursday, about 25 people showcase their work at The Royal House, 99 Convention Center Drive. In all, 150 local artists have been showcased in different genres including fashion design, hair, music, painting and makeup."We're trying to cover all genres of art," Cajiao said. "Vegas is seriously producing amazing talent in all genres."After the event, artists receive an email filled with industry contacts of art gallery owners, First Friday organizers and other leads that may help an artist's career.
Irino's still working on getting her break.Irino's line is called JRock/Scarlett Ginger.
